CLINICAL SUPERVISION FOR THERAPISTS
Welcome to my clinical supervision page.
If you are looking to engage in supervision to deepen your practice, enhance your skills, and receive professional guidance then I believe that I can help you achieve that.
Clinical supervision is a vital part of professional development, offering you a safe, reflective space to discuss your cases, explore your own reflections, and ensure that you are providing the best possible care to your clients.
Why Clinical Supervision?
Although being a therapist is deeply rewarding, it can often be a very challenging profession and supervision serves as a crucial support system. As a supervisor it is my intention to help you navigate the complexities of your work, whether you are a seasoned practitioner or newly qualified. My aim is to support you in your growth while helping you refine your clinical skills, gain new insights, techniques, and perspectives on challenging cases.
Having regular supervision is also allowing you the space to reflect on own your practice, explore your personal responses, and identify areas for improvement. It is also to ensure that ethical practice is taking place and to discuss any ethical dilemmas that you may have to ensure compliance with your professional body. It is extremely important to make sure that you are taking care of yourself, especially around your mental well-being while working in this sometimes-demanding field.
My Supervision Approach
I believe in using an Integrative approach to supervision drawing on my own experiences of using different modalities. Supervision sessions are tailored to your individual needs and professional goals, focusing on your own unique style of how you work with your clients. I offer both individual and group supervision formats, providing flexibility to meet your scheduling and learning preferences.
What You Can Expect
In our supervision sessions, you can expect a supportive, non-judgmental environment where your experiences are valued and respected. l would like to think that we can work together in an open and congruent way while discussing your case material and any biases that you may have noticed. We will explore areas of transference and counter transference as and when they have come up for you, to gain a deeper understanding and improve clinical outcomes.
If you would like to take the initial step in engaging with me to see if I am the write person for you, please feel free to either email me at; ian@ianrichardsbtj.com on contact me directly on 07465 226668.
I offer a free 20-minute Zoom consultation to explore how we might work together at a time that is suitable for us both. If you decide to go ahead, future sessions are charged at £70 per session.
"I look forward to supporting you in your journey as a therapist."
